The last couple of months have been busy ones for FURS!
On Saturday, May 22, we were one of several rescue organizations that participated in Freedom Greyhound Rescue's Bark Bone-anza, held at the City of Aurora's Tails & Trails Dog Park. The weather didn't fully cooperate, and mid-afternoon rains resulted in an early pack-up. But, we had a lot of fun meeting folks from other rescue efforts and some wonderful dog and animal lovers.
On the weekend of June 5 and 6, FURS volunteer staff participated in the Parma Animal Shelter's annual Adoptathon event. Thanks to everyone who stopped by to visit and who supported us through donations and purchases! We raised more than $200!
Finally, at the City of Grafton's annual Trash to Treasure sale on Saturday, June 12, FURS raised more than $400 through the sale of donated merchandise. Thank you to everyone who donated goods and helped staff the sale! Proceeds from this sale will go to the FURS veterinary account at Avon Lake Animal Clinic.
Watch the FURS website and Facebook page for coming events. We've got a lot of social and fun(d) raising activities coming up!
